I'm a Flyin Foo Again!

This crazy obsession with traveling through Central America started last year, April or so of 2006. When Amber, Curtis, Nadja, Shelley, Kyle, Josh, Ashley, Jared and I ventured through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. It was one of the best times of my life! It was fun, adventerous, and the entire time we were surrounded by beautiful brothers and sisters that we met in all the different towns.

From that trip, I made my decision to come and serve in another country. It's one of the main reasons that I moved to Mexico. I was so impressed with the ministry, with the lifestyle, and with the willingness of those young people to make sacrafices in their life... that I decided to make some changes of my own.

Due to time and unforseen occurance, however, I was not able to continue my travels with my dear friends from that trip. I did, though, catch the bug to make my own trip... and this time go different places, and for longer. I've been planning this for well over a year now, and I had started to think that it would never happen.... But WOW... it is finally coming together. And even better, it's HAPPENING!

Last week John and Jeanna Costintino decided they would like to join us, and yesterday we all bought tickets! Paola and I are flying down to San Jose, Costa Rica and there we will meet John and Jeanna down there. We're going to visit the Bethel in Costa Rica, visit with the English Congregation in San Jose, maybe a congregation in another small town or two, and then go down to Changuinola, Panama to visit Amber and Curtis Mills (who have been down there serving for almost a year now! ). We'll take a few detours along the way, I'm sure.  Do some sight-seeing, lots of field service (hopefully I'll seriously improve my spanish! ), and eventually we'll make our way up to Nicaragua. At the airport in Managua, Mike Henry will be flying down on the 18th or so... and we'll meet up with him and continue our journey... next to the Nicaragua Bethel to visit Jared Selden, perhaps to the town of Las Salinas (to do some surfing!? ) and lots more.

We'll be down there for approx a month. November 3rd we'll return to Cancun, tired from our trip, I'm sure.... but with hundreds of awesome memories, and maybe lots of new doors opened for our future. I'll keep you all up to date as things go... and with my journey down there. So please keep checking back on my website to see whats going on!
