Bye Bye John & Jeanna, Hello Mike & Jared

The time has come to say goodbye to John and Jeanna. Wahhh! We had such a great time with them. They really changed the dynamics of this trip. I hope they enjoyed coming as much as we enjoyed having them! We brought them up to the airport in Managua and said our goodbyes... then we waited for Mike’s plane to arrive. It took quite a while but after they were sent off and Mike landed we jumped in a bus heading back to Granada to meet Jared. It was so nice to see him again! We got the scoop on Las Salinas (the town where he lives) and Granada. There’s a lot of need in these areas and apparently a lot of young people have been coming to help out.

We went to dinner with a group of about 10 of us. An awesome pizza restaurant called TelePizza near the town center in Granada. I got a huge Calzone with spinach and mushrooms for $40 cordobas (about $3 dollars). It was super encouraging to spend time with all these young people. They have all left ‘bigger’ and ‘better’ things to come down to Nicaragua to help out the preaching work. Some of them had been there for a while, some where just arriving, but all had such an incredibly zealous spirit, it was very contagious. I’ve got the bug! Tomorrow morning we’ll leave for Las Salinas to try out our hand at hiking in field service... and.... surfing.

Sorry to bug you with this question, but if we don't we'll get tons of spam!
